Privacy Policy

Overview
Never Sleep is an Android utility that changes your device screen-off timeout when you explicitly enable the feature. We designed the app to work with minimal data collection.
Information we process
- Screen timeout setting — When you turn Never Sleep on, the app writes a higher value to Android’s system screen-off timeout and stores your previous timeout locally so it can be restored.
- App preferences — Stored on your device only (e.g. whether ads are disabled, whether Never Sleep was last enabled).
- Advertising data — If you leave ads enabled and the applicable consent flow permits ad requests, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share your IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), interactions with ads, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.
What we do not do
- We do not operate user accounts or collect names, emails, or contacts.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not upload your screen-timeout preference to our servers — it stays on your device.
- We do not request your precise location, contacts, photos, or files.
Permissions
Modify system settings — Required for the core feature. You grant this manually in Android Settings → Apps → Special app access.
Internet & network state — Used to refresh the privacy choices required for Google advertising and, when banner ads are enabled, to load ads. You can disable ad requests in the in-app Settings menu.
Your choices
You can turn ads off at any time in Never Sleep → Settings. Where required, Settings also includes Privacy choices so you can review or change the consent choices presented by Google. You can review or revoke Modify system settings access in Android Settings without uninstalling the app.
Children
Never Sleep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
